Wondering if anyone else has had this issue. There are two spots on my brand new iPhone 15 Pro that have very small discoloration marks around the edges of the titanium out of the box. This is not after setting the phone up, putting it in a case, or doing anything other than the usual "remove from box and inspect carefully" ritual. Confirmed that they are permanent with a microfiber cloth wipedown.

It is hard to get them to show on photos but they are more noticeable in person. I noticed immediately. I was able to get a decently representative couple of shots with my macro lens. The glass and frame also has a noticeably wider gap on one side than the other. I am less worried about this - my 13 Pro was the same way.

This is my second 15 Pro, the first had a slightly out of place USB-C "tongue" from the box. I used to be one of those OCD people about screen temperature, etc - the ones that get made fun of around here. Thankfully I have moved on from caring that much, but exterior issues are another thing entirely for me - who knows what production issue could've led to visible imperfections out of the box? I don't want such an expensive device to have marks from the get-go, I want to add them myself with daily wear and tear. :p

Has anyone else seen any of these 3 issues on their new 15 Pro?

The premium ‘out of the box experience’ with Apple products is partly why they’re able to charge what they do on nearly everything they make. If these imperfections bother you, swap it and note them. Maybe they’ll be recorded and sent down the chain to improve production / assembly processes.

Did you try cleaning it off with a damp cloth or q-tip? Mine had a couple of little spots that came right off. I think it might have been glue residue.

The one on the bottom of the phone seemed to wipe away with no visible trace using a damp cloth (microfiber hadn't done anything - glue residue from the screen placement seems a likely culprit. The one up top wiped down to a significantly less noticeable state. Only a tiny little mark appears to be permanent.

All I got is a small dot where the coating is missing. As big as a speck of dust. And one dust particle under the main lens. The rest seems fine. Didn’t notice bent chassis around the glass as you so

Glad things like this do not bother me. My phone was slipped into a thin case seconds after I got it and have thoroughly enjoyed my 15 ProMax experience. Awesome piece of hardware. Can’t wait till I get my 16 ProMax!
