night shift on mac os?? (RESOLVED)

am a long-time user of f.lux (i even used to run it on a jailbroken iphone). i like the idea of a native app... but can't find it.

Seems to be device specific. I have read that it works on a 2015 MBP, but not 2014. External displays are not supported either so far, from what I can read right now.

External displays are supported. Working with a 5k UltraFine and a Dell (not sure of the model) over hdmi

am working on learning patience... 🙄 just installed 10.12.4 public beta 1, and night shift works. have been using f.lux forever, so will see how this goes. took apple a long time to implement this (and soon, we'll see stereo sound, and color screens)...😀

I have it working on a 2012 rMBP, so I would expect it to work on a 2014 model.
