I've been running happily with the NRC watch app since early this year. I've used the Nike + ecosystem since 2006, so I've been happy with how everything works, but about a week or 2 ago, I had a run that started normally, but when I looked at my watch, the screen was blank. I thought the app had crashed, but if I swiped right, the pause run screen popped up, so I just continued the run (I didn't get any feedback about pace, distance, etc) and when I finished, I paused the run, the the stop screen came up, I did that & it worked fine, so I was ok with it.

The same exact thing happened on my run this morning. It saved the run again, but I'm wondering if anyone else has seen this? I've had zero issues since I started using the watch app & I've been really happy with it, but it's weird to have this happen twice in a relatively short period of time, after no issues for so long.

I restart the watch every Friday night, so I don't think that's the issue. Thanks in advance for any advice anyone might have.

What software do you run on your watch? Did you bring your phone? Software on your phone ?

I'm using the most recent version of watch os 3 & the most recent version of n of NRC. I don't bring my phone, just run everyth By from the watch.

That's kind of weird - WatchOS3 gave me zero problems with the Nike app and loved it... Ever sine I've been on the beta and now final version of WatchOS 4 it's been worse and I'm currently not using it for a while before they update it

Uah, it is odd and like you, my experience with the app has been rock solid up till now. Fortunately it is still recording the runs, so it's not a huge deal.
Thanks for the heads up on watch is 4/NRC. NRC is the primary reason I use an Apple Watch so I'll hold off on updating until the new version comes out in October.

This happened to me but my run was not recorded. It actually froze at the 1 mile marker, and I ran a little over 2 miles. The timer was moving, but miles never increased. I have markers on my route.

Can someone try this on your watchOS 4.0 using the NRC 5.9

Turn off your watch and turn it back on. Then start your NRC on your watch. Does the NRC ask to re-setup your watch on your iPhone?

I’m using watchOS 4.1 beta 1 and iOS 11.1 beta 1. Not sure if that’s the issue or it’s a bug in NRC. Very annoying as I didn’t bring my phone and couldn’t use NRC for my run. Had to use the workout app from Apple.

I just updated to Watch os 4 today. I just tried what you asked & it did ask me to setup the watch from the iPhone.
