Hi all,

Hi all,Prior to watchOS 7 I was able to ask Siri on the watch to start an outdoor run using Nike Run Club. Siri with then launch Nike Run Club and start an outdoor run. Since watchOS 7 when I make this request it says I have to give it permission and shows a button. When I click the button it launches NRC but does not start a run.

Some additional information: I am doing this on any cellular Apple Watch without the phone connected.

Please let me know what results you get.

No idea if this is the issue, but I did notice last night that on the watch, under settings > Siri > Use With Siri,There is a toggle for Nike Run Club. Maybe double check to make sure that is selected on your watch.

Totally appreciate you checking. Yes, I have that setting turned on. Are you able to start a run with Nike Run Club using Siri on an Apple Watch cellular?

So I don’t actually use NRC any more, but I did try to use it to see what happens & I got the exact same thing that you did.

I’m curious, are you using a Nike Version of the watch or an apple version? I know that the Nike version was programmed to make Siri default to NRC when you asked for a run, and that the regular version is programmed to use the workouts app for that. From the sound of your original post, it seems like you’re using the same watch both pre & post Watch os 7, so I’m guessing that’s not it, but figured I’d throw it out there anyways.

Again, thank you for testing. It makes me feel better knowing it is a bug on their end, and not something on my end.
You’re absolutely correct regarding default running apps when invoking Siri. But for the longest time you could use Siri on non-Nike watches.

I am using a non-Nike Apple Watch. I’m trying to remember if my Series 5 ever worked on WatchOS 7 or if the issue happened when I upgraded to Series 6. Either way, it seems it is a Nike/Apple issue.
Thank you again for trying.
