Any way to customize the App's home screen? When i was running it just showed total distance and time. i know it keeps tract of other stats I want to see while running like current pace and average pace.

On the watch, before you run, you can choose "Advanced", which will allow the display of distance, time, and current pace. You'll also see heart rate in a very small font. While running, you can double tap to pause, or use the digital crown to make one of the above metrics the prominent one.

Thanks. Missed that

But there's no way to show average pace or current lap pace, right? In other words, is current pace the only pace metric the app can show during a run (as opposed to in the summary at the end of the run)?

Something I noticed is no splits for miles when running without your phone and just the series 2. Am I missing something?

Nope. NRC in stand-alone mode is pretty basic. I think I read where they intend to add that functionality, but don't have a link handy so take that with a big grain of salt.

Strava said they're working on their app for standalone mode, should be interesting to see what they come up with.

I really like Strava's app since all my workouts go there anyway. Looking forward to see what they do with it in stand alone mode. Would also like to see them add swim recording to the app

Nope, you're not missing anything.

When you start a run using the NRC app on the watch, regardless of whether you have the iPhone with you or not, you will not get splits, or elevation changes for that matter.

So after running a few times with the watch only, I did not have any problems regarding data/map, etc. Obviously no splits (in the NRC app, in Activity app splits are visible for the run) and no nike fuel for most runs. Today's run got Nike fuel but I dont know why. Anyways, I have some questions which I could not answer after some research:

  • Set Distance - If you set a fixed distance on the watch/in the app, what happens after you reached the distance? Can you go on or does you run stop?
  • Just do it Sunday - somewhat related to the above, if you start the Just do it Sunday challenge, which is set for 5k, what happens after these 5k. Say you know you are going to run more than 5km should you use normal "free" run mode or can you use Just do it Sunday? Also, if you run in "free" mode on a Sunday does it count against the 5k challenge (if you make the 5k obv) or not? I ran 12km today in free mode and would like to know if I could have done the Just do it Sunday challenge / or if it is even counted against it.
  • Voice feedback - I run using the watch only, connected to bluetooth headphones and listening to music at the same time. I do not get any voice feedback after e.g. every km, as I do when I run with the app. Also, there is no option on my Watch to set audio feedback ("voiceover"), opposed to what is written on the support page: http://support-en-us.nikeplus.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/29201/p/
Sorry if some of this has been discussed before. Would be great to get some feedback here. Thanks.

Yes, you can continue after a set distance.

Don't know about the Just Do It challenge.

The voice feedback switch is on the watch on the NRC start screen .. just use the Digital Crown to scroll down. You set the duration in the phone app .. I get updates every .25 miles when running watch only .. works great.

Thanks for your reply. My watch is set to German so it is probably related to the language settings - when switched to english i See the voice feedback switch. It is weird because when using the phone, German feedback is available. Seems the Language pack is not loaded to the watch.

Hy guys,

can you tell me how to get Nike+ Running Reminders on Nike+ Apple Watch?
My watch never asks "Are we Running Today" or something like this.
Is there a setting?

That's stupid. Got my first "Are We Running Today" Notification today.

I have some questions, maybe someone can help me.

Using "My Coach" while running with no iPhone:
The "My Coach" on the NRC iPhone app plans runs for me throughout the week. How do I compete these runs without my iPhone?
I know I can just do a run and then later assign it to a workout, but if I am doing a specific workout, such as a "Benchmark" I need the voice over to tell me when to run fast and slow. Same thing with "tempo", "speed"...

I have tried starting the benchmark run then leaving the house and leaving my iPhone behind and once I get out of range of my iPhone & wifi my apple watch stopped logging my run. So, that wont work.

I tried to plan the day of the benchmark run, then leave the house and once down the street press the start button on the AW NRC but it just logged the run as a open distance and had no voice over.

So if I want to use the "My Coach" run planning on the NRC app I must keep my iPhone with me?
