So today I did a great workout on the app while paired to my watch. Did 31 high interval minutes only to have it show up in my Activity App as 1:07 minutes and 6 cal. Thankfully my watch still gave me credit and the calorie burn but that's annoying to go at it hard only to have it cheat me out of my rightful time. This has happened to me before as well. Anyone else have this problem with the app?

There's many threads here on the unhappiness of the Nike app. That particular issue has not happened to me, but have been victim of other Nike app problems.

Rather than create another thread thought I’d add a question to this one.

Hope the OP is ok with that.

I’ve only recently purchased an Apple Watch and have completed my first few workouts with the Nike Training Club app.

I find that in order to get the Watch to become the control for the workout, I have to go into settings every time within the workout itself and reconnect the Apple Watch.

Is this happening for everyone else?

Perhaps there is a better way for me to be doing this?

It’s quite frustrating to have to do this each time, although I will do it if I have to of course.

It also makes it far more complicated for my Mother whom I’ve persuaded to purchase a Watch and is not confident when it comes to technology.

Which version of the app are you using. That happened to me but it was a few updates ago. I have been using the app again and it seems to be stabilized and working when I use it

Thank you for your reply.

It’s the latest version I believe. I purchased my Watch less than a month ago.

The settings I mean are within the app, the little cog shaped icon when you are about to start a workout.

I have to click this every time and then select Apple Watch and it puts Check Marks against both Health and Notifications.

If i don’t do this, I cannot interact with the workout from my Watch.

Ideally this should be a set and forget option rather than each time.

So did you have this issue but it now seems to work for you?

I used to have this problem. I believe I inunstalled it and reinstalled it. That seemed to solve it. As I said, it's beenw orking again for a while.

Occasionally it will still stop tracking the workout especially if I get a text or call or notification while I'm working out which causes the workout to pause. It will resume but sometimes when the workout is done, the stats are blank. The way I combat this is I will start the workout app on the watch and use it in conjunction with the Nike app. That way even if the the Nike app stop tracking the watch acts as a backup. It doesn't double your exercise minutes or anything like that.
