I know some on here don’t like the app but it does what I want it to do, except when I am on a run and raise the watch to check time, distance, whatever the metric are upside down for a second and then the turn right side up.

This doesn’t happen on any other app or day to day watch face.

iIs there a setting I need to change...thanks

Weird. I have no idea as I don't use the app any longer, but I'm curious if your 'dial' is on the left or the right. I'm guessing it's on the left, and that the default is on the right. For some reason it's thinking that it's on the right, until the app corrects itself. If it is on the left, you might want to try turning you watch around for one run (change it so that the dial is on the right) and see if that eliminates the problem.

Thanks. The watch is on my left hand and the crown is on the right side.

I use the app when running and have mixed feelings about it. I suspect that it depends greatly on the internals to determine your stride, calculating the distance traveled and needs that second to reorient to correctly display. I simply raise my wrist and tap the screen to get split times and pace. If only Nike went back to the one, two minute plus split times rather than 1/4, 1/2 mile times.
