No, they ruined SSB after Melee by slowing down the game and removing the mechanics that made it interesting. SSB4 was better than Brawl but still not worth playing if you have the first two games. Never tried the original Galaxy, but Galaxy 2 wasn't any good, and I've heard they're similar. It was like they made a game of only "secret" levels from Sunshine, resulting in a bland platformer with fancy graphics and the feeling of loneliness everywhere you go.Both the Wii and Wii U had great games. Super Mario Galaxy its sequel, released in 2007 and 2010 respectively are some of the best games ever etched to optical disc.
And Super Smash Bros for Wii U is the best Smash game to date.
Looking back on all their major titles for Wii... New Super Mario Bros was fun but wasn't anything new beyond the DS version; still worth playing though. Already mentioned SSB and the Wii Sunshine equivalents. Skyward Sword sucked, half because the dungeons weren't interesting and half because Nintendo decided to kill the open-world experience like they did with Galaxy. Mario Kart was alright but not better than the GC version. The Wii Mario Party games were disastrous, especially 9. Super Monkey Ball was trash, especially compared to the GC versions. There wasn't a Kirby Air Ride sequel, WTF... After all that, the only new and good games were Wii Sports and (kinda) New Super Mario Bros.
The Wii U brings promise with the new Zelda game. Already mentioned SSB. Mario Kart 8 is good but worse than 7, which isn't how it should be. Didn't like the Super Mario Bros on it. And IDK what else there is.
