Nintendo DS emulator for Mac or iPad?

Im trying to play Final Fantasy III (the only release for the first time in USA for the nitendo DS) in order to have played all final Fantasies.

I tried running on windows unscucefully, is there a nice emulator in the mac world? or perhaps for iPad?

DeSmuME is the only one I've found that is worth using on OS X. Should run almost every game but it can be a little laggy sometimes.
