Although GTA on DS, hmm...interesting... Top down (GTA1) or 3D (GTA3)? Anyone know? Did I miss it?

No images or video were shown on this game.

And I have to say, Wii Music violin did look like a lot of fun.

For what seems to be the exact same affect, listen to a violin concerto and pretend you are holding a violin. Then wave your arm back and forth. Aside from being able to watch your Mii do this and having to use a separate remote to adjust the volume, I'm not sure what the difference will be considering you can't control what notes you play.

Well, that wasn't mind-blowing. But then, everybody's keynotes were pretty lame, too.

It's bad when the thing people are going to associate the most with this E3 is the end of FF XIII's exclusivity.

I swear to god, if they killed Disaster: Day of Crisis, I will be pissed.

I have been looking to that game and Project H.A.M.M.E.R. (I wonder what happened to that....?) for a while know, and it does seem that Nintendo is just aiming to the soft core crowd.

After looking at the list of games on IGN, I only want Samba de Amigo and Animal Crossing for Wii.....

You know, after watching some footage, I'm really starting to wonder if Nintendo should pull an Apple or a Blizzard and skip the industry-wide events (CES, E3) and do their own thing. Nintendo at this point is clearly marching at their own beat while everybody else is trying to make the next Halo or God of War.

A lot of the demos today would have played a lot better in front of a crowd that is less hardcore and more mainstream or Nintendo-fanboyish. Plus, a lot of what was shown appears to be stuff that you can't really envision enjoying until you actually try it.

^ They used to have their own (Spaceworld). But it kinda disappeared. Suppose now they have the Wii and DS up their sleeve they have more than enough reason to start that show back up again.

OMG that pic is epic!!!!! almost better than

HAHA... ok im excited about the animal crossing wii, but i hope it is more community based rather than console meaning, i hope that there is more things to do with friends in the game (and not just the wiispeak addition)

also the wii music looks awesome :) , and to people saying something about no choosing what notes to play, he was pushing different buttons when he was playing the saxx, and as for the violin, the tilt of the wii mote changes the note he said you know like a real violin does... so you CAN choose the notes..

anyone else pumped about animal crossing?

PS. that lady i thought she was kaplan at first but then realized how boring she was haha

anyone else pumped about animal crossing?

There are three games this year that I am really psyched for.

Animal Crossing
Little Big Planet
Viva Pinata : Trouble in Paradise

Thank god I own all the systems otherwise I wouldn't get to enjoy these exclusives :D

So for the WiiSpeak microphone, do we know if that will be able to work on things other than animal crossing? I want to be able to use it during MarioKart and Brawl.

Well I don't think Nintendo will be patching games. The obvious answer to that is NO. Maybe future games...

Nintendo won't be patching games, but this could just be something that you can turn on if you're on WiFi. It doesn't have to be paired with each game.

I hope Nintendo is pulling an Apple, so quietly announcing other stuff later. I'm an optimist.

What's sad, is that I'm looking forward to games like COD5 Wii. I want to use my Wiimote to shoot and be violent some more. I'm also looking forward to Clone Wars, but not the other Star Wars titles. There are also a few flash-light horror simulators I'm going to buy.

Sam & Max also has me happy, but first I need MORE STORAGE!!!

Will the Wii Chat thing work with any game, or will it only work with specific games and applications?

The accessory for the wiimote dissapoints me, it is almost like Nintendo is now admitting that their original design is flawed. But instead of just releasing a new wiimote, they decided to make yet another accessory. Again, at $60 for a controller set what will this take it to now? $80 for a controller set is pretty ridiculous, and assuming it will cost $20 is being pretty realistic I think.

I think Nintendo will release a new Wiimote, but if they hadn't offered an upgrade path fore my current Wiimotes, I would be really annoyed at the thought of needing to buy a replacement. It would be a waste.

If Nintendo is smart, they'll offer patch updates for games like Mario Kart Wii to support the new chat device, but then again, it's Nintendo.

i think wii chat wil do alright if its included w/ Animal Crossing Wii

look at the DS Headset, the only games it worked w/ were Hunters and Pokemon DP

for success w/ Wii Chat, Nintendo needs to get 3rd parties to provide support for it and get a variety of games that will utilize it

if nintendo were to offer game patches, they'd first need to solve the storage issue

i'm no expert in programming and that stuff but wouldn't it need a decent amount of space to add voice chat support?
