Nintendo Switch Pro Controller for Apple Arcade

I wasn't sure if this goes in this forum or the Apple Arcade forum. But is anyone using a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller w/ their Apple TV? I have an aftermarket version that's great on my actual Switch but doesn't work w/ AppleTV. I'd rather not spend $60 on a new official Nintendo controller but if anyone has recs on a $30ish version that work with on the AppleTV, I'm happy to take them.

I think you are on the correct forum, as your question is about the ATV and tvOS, not specifically to Apple Arcade.

As for your question, with the new version of tvOS (16), Nintendo Switch Controllers should work with your ATV. Not sure about 3rd-party ones though.

I have the latest non-beta TvOS but I don't want to use my JoyCons because when you reattach them to your Switch to charge, it breaks the Bluetooth and you have to re-pair them again, and each JoyCon (L&R) has to be paired separately. They work but it is not a pleasant experience. I know the OEM Pro controllers are compatible but they are $60. My after-market Pro controller does not work w/ ATV. It's all new and that controller is 2 years old so it's not surprising.

I tried using our Xbox controllers but because I never play it, the A B X Y buttons are all in the wrong place for my muscle memory. lol.
