Since all of the other upgrades are available, it may just be an issue with current SSD stock. But I agree that something new may be afoot...

Incredibly late for a refresh to the iMac this year though. I wonder if they were experiencing a spike in demand for larger capacity SSDs for the Mac mini?

Interesting stuff...all 27’s at this moment show only option of 1,2, or 3 TB Fusion drives. No SSD options at all. Either a disaster mess up or something is in the works. I just ordered a new iMac Pro yesterday so hopefully by the time I receive it there is some sense to all of this so I’ll know if I need to return it. Btw, I just noticed that the BTO options are different when looking through web vs the Apple Store app.

27'' base model's SSD upgrade only available at 256GB, and I've got one in the bag that's 512GB (still haven't pulled the trigger), surely something's up?

Or.... maybe the App is WRONG!!! Let's hope.
[doublepost=1542172495][/doublepost]I'm sure we'll know by tomorrow what is up. The web and app will align, then we can speculate more.

I noticed this today as well. Was looking at a 27" 3.4Ghz iMac with 512GB last week, went on today and the only SSD option is 256GB. I'm in Australia.

Are we speculating new iMacs set to be announced, or something else going on?

I don't really care about the design/bezels, just a minor spec bump is good enough for me so fingers crossed!

If they just put the Mac Mini's 6-core processor in the current base model 27" iMac and kept everything else the same, I would buy that in an instant... with a few upgrades ;)

I think this is the reason they won't do it for a while. If they refresh the iMacs then then many will bypass the Mac Mini.
