Indeed. I bought my 2017 iMac just last month and it's absolutely ideal for all of my requirements: day-to-day Web browsing, Word, Excel. Image editing through Photoshop Elements. Video editing through iMovie. Very demanding games/simulations like X-Plane 11. It does everything at a very acceptable level of performance, although I do have an internal and external SSD. It's also the centrepiece of my high resolution audio system.
I did upgrade from my Late-2012 Mac mini to an iMac as I had lost hope in Apple bringing out a new Mac mini, but they did in the end! However, I'm more than happy with the iMac. It looks very tidy, saves a bit of desk space and only needs a single power socket.
