Apps No alert with CNN app?

For months now, on both watches I've had a CNN app. Before I'd get my vibration, hasn't happen on either Watch now. I get the alert pop up in the notification of the Watch but never alerted to it?

Anyone have the same issue? Fix?
 
Same here. Alert appears without haptic or sound notification. It's been like this for some time.

you can play around with the settings until you get the optimum responses to your liking.

for me i ended up picking one particular news source (to avoid duplicate updates) because some breaking news tend to be common across the news channels
 
Does anyone have a comparison of the Breaking News vs. Associated Press vs. Apple News vs. CNN?
I've switched over to this Apple news feed but wondering if that will still send updates or alerts?
 
The AP seems to have the Haptic alert just before the notification shows up. I like it that way.

Early days yet! It is good to have choice of sources for US breaking news - the UK I have covered by the BBC and Sky news apps. Only comment is that a news alert doesn't seem to show the source of the story.

I used Breaking News and thought it was great. I saw today it's been discontinued. What's everyone using in its place now?
 
The description of the latest update in the US store states they are shutting down as of 12/31/16.
