No animations on 4S in Tapatalk? Weird but awesome

So, my phone isn't displaying animations in the Tapatalk app... I don't remember there being an update for this. It's just random.

Things are blazing fast though. Can developers turn off animations in their apps, or is this a glitch? I love it, because turning off animations is something I've missed from Android.
