Has anyone found a fix for this? I can't get anything..internet or mms.
what u mean?
Just type the apn in yourself
I'm having the same issue too. Did they rearrange the menu?? I can't find where to enter the settings for tmobile
Do you have the tmobile us carrier bundle installed?
The settings are there.
General>Network>Cellular Data Network
is that the Legacy thing from Cydia?? If so yes
Cellular Data Network isnt on my screen
I have a 3G btw
Uninstall the legacy thing and reboot your phone
I have a 3g and can see the celluar data option to turn it on and off...there is no where to key the apn settings this is a known issue and i was just looking for a solution.
i had the same problem and uninstalled the legacy package thing and the option was there again after a reboot
OK, so are you somehow getting tethering to work via the built in mechanism somehow? I don't have any of these options. Is there something from Cydia that I need to install? I just have a 3GS + pwnagetool jailbreak. Thanks!
I still have no clue of what the legacy is and how to delete it..please help!
Go to cydia/manage/packages and see if you got the legacy T-Mobile package installed.
If you do remove it and try again.
I don't have legacy installed. I guess I'm just screwed!
Very weird, I unlocked an iphone yesterday to be used on tmobile and the APN settings were there once I had a tmobile simcard inside the phone.
You got yours in there and everything else is working with the tmobile sim right?
Yes everything else is good! I've tried reseting the network, the phone, restoring the phone and rejailbreaking and still no luck!
Are you restoring from a back up or clean install?
I'm doing a clean install..can i downgrade to 3.1.3?
you have a 3G? yes
I have a factory unlocked 3Gs that is running 4.0 and is JB. During the process lost all the apn settings but Easy to type in;
Cellular Data APN: wap.voicestream.com
MMS APN: wap.voicestream.com
MMS Proxy: 188.8.131.52:8080
MMS Max Message Size: 9999999
MMS UA Prof URL: http://www.apple.com/mms/uaprof.rdf
Hope this helps......
Using these settings helped me send pictures, but not receive them. (I asked a friend to send a picture message (which I never received) and I also tried sending a picture to myself which was sent successfully but not received. Yes I did reboot each time I changed the settings. Yes I do not have legacy or the sinful iphone mms settings installed, in fact I don't think you'll be able to access your data settings with those installed.
Just giving back..this helped me!
