No Apple Care in my region

I went to purchase some Apple Care online for my MacBook Air, but the store says it is not available in my region (Middle East. Is there any alternative to Apple Care that would be ideal?

Why not simply get a reasonable insurance, and start saving for a new notebook?

Tried looking around at gadget insurance in Dubai nobody seemed to offer any. I've known a few people who've just ended up just replacing their Apple products when a breakage occurs, as repair costs are practically the same price as a new product.

Google for "out of warranty repairs". For iPhone, iPad, iPod Apple offers what they call "out of warranty repairs", which basically means they take your device and give you a matching refurbished one, at maybe half the price of a new one. No idea about availability where you are.
