No Apple-Suitable 4G LTE Chips Until Early 2012?

I think Verizon 4G is useful at times. YouTube videos load quick on it, and the upload speed is 5x as fast as my cable modem speed
. My Verizon 4G speed is about 15 down, 35 up. When YouTube videos stop and freeze while loading and you have to wait, you somewhat wish you had the 4G speed.
I'd be highly skeptical if Apple will introduce LTE compatable chips even in 2012. Usually Apple takes it's time to implement technologies that all other phone makers in the market have implemented. They focus on ease of use and to the point where you don't even notice the technology (et. al. there latest iPad 2 commercial) They'll probably delay any LTE implementation until 2013.
That doesn't matter too much for me. All I want is mega awesome battery life. iPad 2 type battery life in my phone. I think that is there focus especially with the phone.

I think that the current iPhone 4 is too thin and too small (I have big hands). I think a Thunderbolt sized iPhone would be just awesome! The Thunderbolt is the perfect size in my opinion.

I'd rather have more storage on my iPhone than 4G, it s not even available in a lot of countries yet..
That's not even possible, is it? I thought the iPhone is capped by hardware at 7.2 Mbps?
Have you used a 4.3" phone. They don't seem that much physically bigger but the screen size is awesome! Apple keeps getting squeezed with adding new technology because of the size limitations of the phone. Giving us a slightly bigger size with the advantage of a bigger screen size AND more components seems like an excellent tradeoff.
Yeah - I know if will never happen because SJ is compulsive obsessive with never making things bigger.

I'm just curious if the projected combined CMA / HSPA chips to be included in the iPhone would support HSPA+? That would at least give us some extra speed for iPhone 5. I don't think the current AT&T iPhone 4 does support HSPA+ - unless I'm mistaken.

when they mean samples in late 2011 it means samples for companies like apple to engineer products around it. it's not just the hardware, qualcomm has to finish and QA the software and dev kit as well
A 2012 iPhone release is still well over a year away which is plenty of time for LTE chipsets to mature and shrink. I doubt Apple would wait 2 years to impliment a technology their competition is using today.

No, it doesn't. I am excited for HSPA+ support because my carrier has had it rolled out completely for over a year.
Does anybody actually know someone using the Thunderbolt? It's fast, but the 4G network destroys the battery life. The people I know have to charge it 3 times a day.
Will Apple release a phone that has to be recharged 3 times a day? Um...No. This is one reason they don't go ahead and jump in the pool.

The current size is more than adequate for me, and I use reading glasses! The screen could possibly be increased I suppose if the black areas were somehow shrunk, but unless your hands are like shovels the phones already big enough.
Exactly. It will take a long time to impliment and only the 2 major carriers will have it.

LTE will arrive first on iPad 3 in Spring 2012. Plenty of room inside with a 10" screen.
