Hi all, I'm aware this is a widespread issue with 10.8> users and I've tried to troubleshoot it myself but I can't seem to fix it.

I'm trying to watch a .mkv file on divX player - but when opened, there is no audio and the following error message appears:

"Error Dolby AC3 Audio

Player does not recognize the audio in this video. Additional Software is required to play. It may be available from the DivX Support website.
"

This is the second file I've tried this week which has encountered the same problem.

I went on to the website and looked at the drivers, and it suggested Perian which I already have installed on my mac.

Are Perian and divX not working together properly in this instance? Or do I need to download something else?

I'm using a 2010 macbook Pro with OS X 10.9.2

Thanks for any help!
