Just an answer to the argument that all iPad 2s have backlight bleeding.

My friend has just received his black iPad 2 and it has no noticeable backlight bleeding even at full brightness in an almost-dark room. My own white iPad 2 has noticeable backlight bleeding in the dark, although it doesn't interfere with everyday usage.

I'm now in two minds whether I should get a replacement. There is a > 0 chance that I'll get an iPad 2 that has worse backlight bleeding, considering the lot that is doing the rounds right now.

The three I've had have all been fine, two of which were day one launch models, last one for the car was a two months into the release.

My white one has some serious bleed. However it is not noticable in full screen usage with bright backgrounds.
Throw a movie in widescreen or a display with black along the edges the spotlights are very pronounced.
