iPod touch no backup-PLEASE HELP!

my ipod touch 2g on 4.2.1 JB with greenpoisi0n is working fine except that when I sync it, it says that it cannot back it up because "the backup was corrupt or missing: delete the backup, then back it up again"". i did this but then it still says the same thing. NOW I HAVE NO BACKUP SO I CANT RESTORE IT OR DELETE IT LIKE IT SAYS TO!!! so i cant do anything. it still works fine but i need to back it up. since their is no backup, it takes forever to sync and everytime i do, it resyncs everything to my ipod and says that they couldnt be synced even though they all were. WHAT SHOULD I DO? PLEASE HELP! THANK YOU SO MUCH!🙂
