No battery case:(

Still venting! I wanted something Apple under the Christmas tree!! Hope you are right!
I don’t see it happening. They sold millions of 6+,6s+,7+ and 8+. If they wanted to make a smart battery case, there would have already been one for the plus size phones. Apple only strives to give you 1 day battery life. The smaller phones like the 6/7/8 all got pretty poor battery life due to their overly low mah, so a battery case made sense.
That rumor literally just surfaced days ago and you were expecting Apple to readily have the alleged battery case released before days before Christmas? From a company standpoint, that’s not how Apple typically operates. Also, if those do release, I would expect the battery cases to release alongside other products in 2019.
Personally not a fan of battery cases, they often lack in protection. I am a power user who travels a lot and I find a portable charger fits my need for extra battery life. I use a Samsung fast charging portable.
I wouldn't unless they make one with decent protection. Had Mophie in the past but it had no front drop protection
