no bootable device ? Mac pro stuck . help !!

For some unknown reason,
my mac cannot be turned on, it shows a dos black window with a line sayin:
No bootable device, please insert a bootable cd and press any key.

I have no idea what that means or how it happened but I cant seem to go through it.

Help anyone?? 🙁

If you just tried installing windows, it's possible you either didn't complete the installation or you wiped your mac side out. Start up the computer while holding the option key and you should get a startup manager. Try starting up from the mac side there. If you are unable to see this startup manager screen, then use a different keyboard to do it. Let me know how that goes. I know this has been asked on the forum before so you might even be able to search for it, but feel free to reply to my message here. If you had windows on it functioning before and nothing show sup in startup manager its possible your hard drive is bad 🙁
