I know it’s been asked and a thread in the accessories section but no action over there. Can’t seem to find any new cases for new MacBook Air. Seems like anytime an apple product is released there are at least some at BestBuy

Waterfield (SFBags) has sleeves out for the new Macbook Airs. Also, iBenzer is selling a hardshell for the macbook air. There is of course the super expensive Apple Sleeve.

The footprint for the new MBA is the same as the 13inch MBP and the thickness is about equal. The MBP has been out for several years. So, there are tons of inexpensive neoprene cases on Amazon that will protect your MBA just as well as the $179 Apple sleeve.....maybe better. You can buy the Amazon Basics 13.3 Neoprene Case for $10.49. I would start there, and then wait for more options to come on the market.

I bought one of these for my 2011 MacBook Air and it’s great. I got the black leather with blue lining:

I’m picking up the new 2018 MacBook Air next Monday, and if I decide to keep it (still hesitant on the keyboard), I’ll be ordering another sleeve from Joli.

The official Apple leather sleeve just looks kinda flimsy in comparison.
