My wife got an Apple Watch SE as a gift, and, we noticed that it didn’t come with a charger. That wasn’t a surprise, but the cable that came with it has usb-c connection.

I have bazillion usb charger that came with old iPhones but none has usb-c. Doe people buy a charger for this? That’s opposite of Apple’s excuse of not including the charger with iPhones nowadays because I can’t use existing chargers. Hmmm…

If you want to charge the watch, you will need to buy a charging brick. Apple hasn't included chargers for their watches in a good while.

Or use a USB-C port on a computer.
I have several USB-C bricks but no USB-C computer ports (yet), but I’m probably in the minority. Apple has been offering USB-C since 2016.

iPhones also come with lightning to USB-C cables when Apple stops shipping chargers with them.

The idea is for you to spend more money buying the conveniently but sold separately USB-C charger.
