Trying out a pure white wallpaper for a while, which is a nice change from an all black wallpaper I've been using for awhile.

Looks nice, right?

Until you realize Apple gave zero consideration to it, as seen in the widget screen:

Yeah, there are some clouds in there somewhere. A bit more contrast on the background for each widget wouldn't kill ya, would it? Come on, Apple.

White wallpaper is like ice cold swimming pool... What for? You can see it's useless.

That's worse lol I'd take a muted gray color at least, or black. At least now with iPhone X the screen is pure DARK rather than a rather sub lit black due to LCD before [ips lcd]

Maybe try Yahoo Weather app instead and use their widget. It's nice.

I'm on an 8 with an LCD and it happens to be really nice and even so I want to enjoy the nice white it has. I've been doing a plain black or plain gray wallpaper long before OLED was a thing, wanted to change it up and actually really like the plain white. Matches really well with my silver 8.

I think I will submit that screenshot to Apple. I realize most people aren't doing plain white wallpapers, but it still seems like a bit of an afterthought to not take into account better consideration for the background color.
