iPhone 11 Pro No desktop sites Safari browser?

Hi everyone, I just got my iPhone 11 Pro Max. When using Safari, I can't get any websites to go into desktop mode. It'll say the sites are in desktop view, but will still actually be in mobile view. Any ideas on a fix?

Desktop mode is for iPad OS 13 as far as I know.

I love Safari and use it for everything but during those rare occasions that I need a desktop version I use Chrome and it works great.
