No Display 2011 iMac 27"

Hello,

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this, but I though I'd ask.

Recently grabbed a 2011 iMac 27" and it now has no display. Upon further inspection I can see the LCD Power connector blew something. How difficult would it be to find one of these capacitors? I'd got a dead Macbook laying around, could I use one off that?

It's not a capacitor. You have an Inductor that is blown.
The exact one is labelled L9000. Its is a 250 Ohm ferrite bead. Desolder the old component, clean the contacts and replace it with a new SMD.

Thanks for the reply! What would cause it to blow like that? Is it worth fixing or will it do it again?
