Before the repair, the LCD worked... After the repair, when first turning the phone on it showed just a white screen that went away quickly. Every time I pressed the sleep/wake button the white screen would pop up for a second, and then go away. Now, the screen is completely black, and I have only seen it flash white once, when I did a reset by holding the sleep and home buttons. I cannot reproduce this white screen anymore though.

iTunes recognizes it, and I believe everything else is working normally.

I think the problem comes from the phone being ON while unplugging and plugging in the LCD. I hear this can cause a problem. I have tried all common solutions (button combos, disconnecting battery, restore, etc.) but I have not tried a new LCD screen because from what I have read, it probably wont help.

Can you suggest anything other than an LCD replacement?
