No video output on its DVI hard link?

Perfect video on its screen, but no output to another monitor.

WTHeck?

Did I forget to plug something back in? How could it be that i have perfect video on the laptop screen but no video output whatsoever?

Try going into System Preferences>Displays and clicking on "Detect Displays".

I've had that happen and doing that forced the Mac to detect the secondary display.

Might not be related, but I once had an MacMini G4 connected to a Samsung LCD.

At one point it made "puff", not sure wether it started at the Mini or at the LCD but the result was 1 100% dead LCD and a Mini that would only work via VGA-adaptor (read the digital part of the DVI was dead).

You could try if you get a picture with a analog connected monitor.

Tried. No go.

I suspect,

maybe bad install of leopard try a different copy
bad logic board connection

I'll try that. I'll also open it up again and see if I can visually detect anything. I need this to be able to support my display...
