I would be interested in the option one left to the "more space"
... I guess it may be usable, but I don't know. I have two displays of the same model (Dell P2415Q) so if I set one to a different resolution it's going to be weirdly sized (because they're the same size physically). Unfortunately it isn't the sort of thing you can test with a minute or two of running at the scaled resolution, in my experience.

I think I misexpressed myself a little bit.

I'd like to run both monitors at the same scaling factor, the one next to the one on the far right.
Could you please test it for a few minutes? Just some basic tasks, that would be awesome!

Ok I understand now. I've just set them both to one below 'more space', however be aware that the values for each preset may be different on different displays - I believe it's somewhat related to the PPI (which is a factor of physical size vs resolution). So for me the options from right, 'More Space' down to default, one from the left, are:

3008x1692
2560x1440 (what I'm using to test this now)
2304x1296
1920x1080.

Just showing two screens with several apps in the background it looks ok of course.

I've just run a 1080p YouTube video in safari for several minutes and tried stuff like dragging the window around, etc and surprisingly didn't get the sort of jankiness I used to get under Mojave. Possibly the software layer is a bit more optimised in Catalina.

So based on this (so far) positive result I'm going to try running at my preferred res (2304x1296) for regular use, I'll try to remember to report back in a day or two about how it goes.

Don't know if it helps - but maybe for future reference:

I'm using 2 LG 31MU97Z-B displays on my 2018 Mac mini (i7, 32GB, 512GB). Both are running their native DCI 4K resolution. That is:

4096x2160 pixels
60Hz refresh rate
10bit ("30bit") colour ("ARGB 2101010")

They're both connected via USB-C to DisplayPort cables. Never tried scaling, as I like the screen real estate.

Ok so I ended up going back to the default, because random little things just seemed to have some lag when running at the higher scaled res. Whether it'd affect you/the apps you use or not is probably very subjective.
