No email notification that phone has shipped but it obviously has

Why haven't I received notification from Apple that the phone has shipped? Why is the status still at "Preparing for Shipment" when it apparently HAS shipped?

They might E-Mail you once the phone has left one of the facilities in the US.

Mine is shipping as well and I haven't received an email. Don't sweat it...went down the same way for my 4S.

when ur phone status changes then the email is sent. there are 2 million processing so your phone status may be behind

I think they do a daily update, not a real-time update. I would guess every one who has shipped will have their apple status updated tonight.

Nah, this system is all out of whack. I have no info whatsoever on my phone. On the other hand my wifes phone i can track on UPS is left Nashville on the way to California. All in all still says prepared to ship on Apple.com

Same, two phones orderd at 3:10am EST, apple says 9/21 but no UPS info on track by referance

Apple, or even the carriers do not see this as important enough to run massive sweeps of their systems to give out information that honestly is of little value. Yea, I know, for some, it is OCD in overdrive.
