No EVENT for NEXT week?

I would be surprised if there were no special event to introduce the new MacBooks. But then again, it did happen before. When the MacBooks were first introduced to replace the iBook, there wasn't a special event.

I wonder if we're going to get updates to iLife and iWork along the new MacBooks.

Apple is going green, and decided to have a web meeting instead. They can send the invites whenever since no travel will be involved.

I always wondered why this is not done more often by Apple, or other companies for that matter. You can wait until the last minute and pick your invite list.

if the rumour about the brick manufacturing is true then their should be an event, so apple could show off their innovations and etc..

i think there is more likely an event if they have some software to show off as well as new hardware. Bit like when they released the alu iMac.
