Since upgrading to a series 4, I don't see any friend activity on the watch though the activity app. I do see all my friends activity through the activity app on iPhone. I've tried signing out, re-pairing watch, restoring watch from backup. Still nothing. This worked when i had the series 0 watch before I upgraded. Since getting the series 4, nothing.

Anyone know how I can get this working again on the watch?

An update: tried all variety of erasing, restoring, setting up as new, signing out... everything. No shared activity showing up on the watch and no notifications. I have about 4 friends on the shared area of the phone app

I spent some time on the phone with Apple care and they are stumped as well

Very frustrating as my friends can see me on their phones and get my updates but it will not show on their watch or mine....stumped as well. Going to the Apple store later today for band shopping and will as one of the geniuses about it.

I’ll report back if they have any potential solutions.

Let me know what they say!

I am not a registered developer, so I can’t file a radr on this, would anyone be willing to file a bug report with Apple?

No love at the Apple store this week but got an awesome “Sr. Advisor” on the 888-MyApple line. I walked him through all of the attempted fixes (pair, unpair, delete, hard reset, delete friends, add fr Ends back...). He said that was everything he would recommend to do to trouble shoot so he has a replacement coming this Saturday to my local Apple Store and genius appt set to swap it out. His name was Doyle and he is simply awesome.

Please keep us all posted. I’m afraid that will be my next step as well. It seems like only a small few are effected making it more frustrating to find a solution.

Same issue here. Can no longer share activity with other people. They can be added and show in the iPhone app but the progress doesn’t update from whichever values were there when I invited them. On the watch the other person doesn’t even show on the share screen. All worked great before watch os 5.

I’ve tried all of the suggested fixes but nothing works.

An Apple engineer called me this weekend. They were gathering more information and they are definitely aware of it. He said they didn’t want me to wipe my phone and start over because even if that fixes it, that’s not a fix to the problem. He expects it to be a software fix but not sure when yet. He’s calling me back in the next week. Will update here on what I find out at that time.

I didn't notice this problem on my series 4 until I updated to 5.1.1 last night. It was definitely working before that.

Update: today Apple released a new beta of 12.1.1 and Sharing just started working! I can now see all my friend’s shared activity on Watch. Watch is on the 12.1.2 beta.

There must be something in the b2 update that fixed the issue!
