I’ve done the demo and am on my second day of ownership. No glare noticed at all.

Watched in a lit room and a very dark room. Nothing.

Using optical inserts with a very strong prescription (over -10) in one eye.

Not saying some people don’t have glare for some reason. Just want to say that for many/some/most of us it’s not an issue. So some prospective purchasers can feel better about trying AVP.

The glare is going to be there, it's just the nature of how these headsets are made, however, some just notice it more than others. I have owned pretty much every mainstream VR headset released and the AVP has the least amount of light blur but it is noticeable.

I have no glare in on my original size, which is 33W. I wanted to try a smaller size for better FOV, so I tried a 23N, FOV much improved, but gets a little bit of glare in dark environments like Cinema. But I like the FOV better, so not sure which I will go with yet.

Could you explain more the relationship between whatever you are meansuring (width of what?) and FOV? Given the importance of fit I am concerned I should go in to the store to get the right fit. As it is I do see some glare, and I am aware of the FOV being tight.

Do appreciate a different point of view. I do see some glare from time to time, but its more like a smudge, not something that ruins things for me. So not an issue, and I accept this is what has to be.

You should certainly go to the store and try to get the best fit. For me, the thicker the light seal, the worse FOV. But probably all depends on the individual. I would try to get them to try 2-3 different light seals to see which you prefer, feel and FOV.
