No Hard Drive?

I'm trying to reset my iMac late 2007 model and the problem is, no matter how I format it, the hard drive will not appear on the hard drives that I can install os X to. I don't know how it became that way or how to fix it but it won't work when installing lion, snow leopard, or tiger.

Yes I used the disk utility from the installer because I wiped the os off from before

And you used GUID as partition map scheme?

Do you have any other Mac with Firewire and even a compatible Firewire cable?

I don't have any FireWire cables or other macs and I used GUID and still it didn't work. I tried both erasing and repartitioning to no avail.
