Was excited to see the app released today but I have noticed non of the HDR content like Red Oaks for example is switching to HDR when playing with the match feature on. Is anybody else noticing it? Not sure if its a bug.

Silly question, did you enable both settings in tvOS ?

I figured out what it is and wow its just poor UI design on Amazon's part. Believe it or not they have two versions available one in SDR and one in HDR. So you have to find the HDR version labeled "Ultra HD." Very confusing but thats what it was. It seems the normal versions floated to the top of the Prime Home Screen which confused me.

Great news! However, I just installed on my Apple TV 4K, and 5.1 isn't working. Everything is playing in 2.0. The picture looks great though. My other apps work fine, Netflix and Hula (to name a few) all play in 5.1. Anyone else having this issue?

In an interesting update to this post it looks like the TV App provides the best user experience at least for 4k HDR users. When looking at an Amazon show in the TV App UI it automatically sends you to the best possible quality version of the show, rather than finding the the version HDR or SDR version in Amazon's App. Kind of unbelievable that this is even a thing considering Netflix just automatically shows you the correct version and only has one possible selection.

Corrrect, Amazon only gave us 2.0 audio.

5.1 Audio is coming, though one would think that it would have been a feature out the gate, not a add on feature after release..

I've been having issues getting 4K videos to play tonight on Apple TV from Amazon, anyone else?

Found my problem, I was using Safari changed to FireFox and its working.

Still, the login "experience" with an existing Prime account is really bad. You are directed to primevideo.com/mytv (guess if you have 2-factor auth enabled), but can't login due to some cookies' problem with Safari.

I had to google for the right link, log in, then use the SMS code and enter the 6 code to register the AppleTV.

Together with the stereo audio, after months this app is still in beta.
