My expired MobileMe account will not connect to the iCloud mail servers, but I can log in to iCloud. I have never been able to access mail on that account, but on other iCloud accounts that made on iOS 5 work. Does anybody else have this problem or know a solution?

Use the following mail servers (in place of the old MobileMe ones) if you want to use it in Mail.app or something:

Incoming: p01-imap.mail.me.com

Outgoing: p01-smtp.mail.me.com

Didn't Apple say you couldn't create a developer iCloud account with an @me.com Apple ID? Maybe that's why it doesn't work? Possibly.

Rather, you can, but it's not from me.com directly. It attaches to your original Apple ID. If that is a MobileMe account, you will have to wait for the official launch of iCloud to convert our MobileMe to an iCloud. Otherwise you can make an iCloud account(with a new "@me.com" email handle) through the iCloud setup in iOS.

OOOOOHHHH, Ok, thanks so much for clearing that up for me. I have been trying to find an answer to this question forever. Thanks.
