Did you just respring or did you have to restart your phone?

I've tried it just doing the respring and so far it hasn't worked..

I could have swore there was another way other than winterboard to do this on older devices (that did not cost $2.99 like springtomize).

It did work on my iPhone 5. I chose "No Undocked Icon Labels" and "No Docked Icon Labels" in WinterBoard and did a respring.

It's so worth it though. Springtomize is so many tweaks in one.

not working for me in the default winterboard settings either...

i don't really have a need/want for springtomize but if this is the only way of getting my apps iconless i will

The one in Winterboard works for my IP5. Are you using other themes? Have you tried moving it to the top of Winterboard list?

I selected it (checked), tapped back then respring in the top left corner. Change was then immediately visible, no reboot needed.

If you are themeing with winterboard, I prefer to just add the code to the Info.plst file just because some theme's need the labels for icons that don't make sense. The less I have to mark active winterboard, the better. Basically you just change the color value to "transparent". I did this to my latest theme I'm using... and I think it looks so much cleaner without the labels.

    example:
    PHP:
    <key>UndockedIconLabelStyle</key>
    <
    string>margin-top:1pxfont-size:8pxcolor:transparent; </string>

    <
    key>DockedIconLabelStyle</key>
    <
    string>margin-top:3pxfont-size:8pxcolor:transparent; </string>

I'm not using any theme, just mixed icons copied to Bundles folder and there is no info.plis file. How and where I can create it? Thanks

It appears that Winterboard can only hide icon labels for about half of iP5 users. Why the F is this? It worked fine for me on my 4.

Sprintomize 2 works a champ on this. I like it because you can leave labels on folders (which I like) and off for regular icons.

Best app is Flex. Look into it, you can do this with Flex. You can even choose if you want folders to have it, but not icons, or vice versa. Check out my thread about Flex here

The excellent Shrink tweak does this, in addition to allowing you to change icon and badge sizes.
Working fine on my 5 with 6.1.
