PCIe SSD - yes it'd be awesome, and we can all hope for it, but a Fusion drive is going to do what I need for a while.
Graphics - not a concern for me - and the model I'm looking to get has a 680MX, which is already gonna be overkill for me [too bad you can't CTO refurbs... :p]
TB2 - probably the biggest thing to miss out on, if it makes it to the iMac this time around, for me. Purely for the expansion possibilities and bus speed possibilities. But again - not something that will prohibit me from doing what I need to do.

Now what I'm really waiting on - if Sonnet would go ahead already and get that damn Echo 15 out... :D
The SSDs in the iMacs (and other Macs) will probably be updated to PCIe. This way they all use the same SSD parts. Cuts down on inventory management.

As for TB2, I doubt it will be on any system besides the Mac Pros before April of next year based on TB2 silicon availability.

As for the Sonnet Echo 15, yeah summer is almost over - where is it? I'm also looking at it for when I get a new iMac - it will consolidate 4 items for me. Those being external optical drive, USB hub, FireWire port and 1 external disk.

You CAN get CTO refurbs, they just don't come up as often. If you are patient you'll see a refurb with a 680mx. It might also have a huge SSD drive or something, but...

What I meant is - the iMac I'm looking at ordering has a 680MX - an option that I don't really need. I'd take an extra $150 off gladly to go back down to a 675MX, while keeping the rest of the specs ;)

I get that's not how it works though... hah

Plus there's barely support for the current TB let alone TB2. I don't see a slew of TB drives/enclosures hitting the market until 3rd parties get a feel for how well the upcoming Mac pro will sell.
