No iMessage Sound Notification on Lock Screen

Just set up a new iP15 and iP15 Pro and neither will make a notification sound ON THE LOCK SCREEN when an iMessage arrives. When the phone is unlocked, it works as expected.

It does SHOW a notification on the lock screen, but no sound occurs.

I have checked all the notification settings, the Focus, the mute button, the volume and I just don't see the issue. When I google this, I find similar complaints but no real answer or explanation.

Anyone else experience this?

Yep my 15 pro is the same. my ultra watch haptics work with iMessage notifications but no haptics on my phone. If I take my watch off I still don’t get phone haptics for messages… I thought it was just me!

I don't have this issue, but it get the haptics on both devices. Have you both tried to restart the phone and check to see if the issue has been resolved than?

Also check the settings for the contact I know you can set a sounds and haptic specific for the contacts.
