On my Late 2013 iMac

As the title says my mouse won't scroll with inertia since updating to OS Catalina I've been into the preferences panel and clicked on with and without inertia but nothing works

anyone had / fixed this problem ?

i unpaired the mouse and re paired it and it was fine again but after switching the mac off last night and back on again today its not working again so had to repeat the same procedure today ?

I'm having the same issue - did just as you did and it worked correctly for a while and then crapped out. For the past week I've just been using my trackpad - ugh....I read that deleting the Mouse.plist (there are two specific files) would fix issue and it did for about 2 hours and then it came back again. I'm really hoping a future update will correct this issue.

I had this problem. Turns out that the MagicPrefs I installed years ago is broken on Catalina and development of it has ceased. Deleted MagicPrefs and scrolling works correctly. Only problem is that there’s no native middle click option. Found Better Touch Tool that you can use to configure a middle click. 45 day trial then small fee $7.50 for two years licence.
