No instore pickup?

I wasn't able to do in store pick up either. I tired. I much prefer to go in and pick it up instead of waiting around the house for delivery. But I fully admit that I miss the old days of hanging out in long Apple lines on launch day.

Problem is I work all day so I will miss delivery. Wondering if i should just showup on launch day and hope they have them in stock.

In my experience thats based on what model you want. I bet the 12.9 with larger HD models will be pretty easy to walk in and get. Less expensive models seem to sell out faster. It took me "forever" to find the gen one Apple Pencil and Apple Keyboard in stock. But that was early 2016. In store shipments may be way different now.

I'd like to know as well. I live in PA but I'm 30 minutes from the Apple Store in tax-free Delaware. Pick-up rather than ship to home would save me around $70 in tax on a 12.9 256gb!
 
I may be wrong, but I don’t believe that there will be any in store pickups until next Wednesday. I think that this would be more of what is the launch day. Today is more like a pre-order day.
