Hey guys, this is my first time posting here, as this is the first problem I have had.

I recently installed bootcamp on my 2011 Macbook Pro 15" and while my wireless internet was working at home, I am now on vacation and staying at a hotel, and my wireless internet will connect, but when I try to open a browser, it will not open any web pages. This is true for Windows and OSX.

I am not sure what is wrong, because in Windows I can ping any website, but when I try to pen google chrome it says the webpage is not avalable.

Thanks for looking,

That's what I thought, but it works on my iPhone and iPad just fine.

Strange...Check your DNS settings on the Pro..If it works on the phone and iPad I wonder if it's using 2.4GHZ or 5GHZ bands?

You should be able to check by looking at the connection on your iPad.

What do you mean look at my dns settings? Also how do you check if it's 2.4 or 5 on my iPad?

What does the hotel connection show up as? When you try to join it on your MBP whist options rate listed in the drop down wifi menu? (wifi symbol in the menu bar..what's there?)
