On the Apple Store site I saw that they have some available to deliver by January 8. And a lot more in stock in stores nearby so I don't know what you talking about

5-7 days delivery in the uk (hard to beat that with New Year and bank holidays at the minute)

Showed available for pick up at my local store.
 
I suspect a lot of people bought them as Christmas gifts, which caused a quick shortage that'll take some time to replenish....

Everyone bought up the units that Apple manufactured. It's a new product and demand outstrips supply. You'll have to be patient.

Try taking up Vegetarianism as a secondary interest while Apple manufacture some more.

Most of the IPP that is around me only has stock for the wifi only version. The cellular is out in most places.

In the New York City tri state area and southern Florida, there have been NONE available with the LTE. All others have been available. This thread should be much more specific so we can reply to the OP correctly.

I ordered mine online on Dec 22nd and with 2-3 fastest shipping I should get around January 4th.
