No limit in Mail??

I'm terrible with cleaning my Hotmail inbox, and now that I've installed iOS7, it seems like there's no longer a limit to the number of items shown from my inbox. I'm now stuck downloading 14k emails....this will definitely teach me a lesson. In the meantime, has anyone found a way to limit the number of emails in your Mail inbox?

Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> "Your Mail Account Name" -> Mail Days to Sync works for Exchange.

Not sure about Hotmail.

If only it were so easy with Hotmail! Hotmail and Gmail no longer have that option. I do have it for Exchange, but it's not a setting that carries across email accounts.
