I've just realised that this is one of the first, if not the first Apple product that I can think of that doesn't actually have the Apple Logo on it. I know on the underside, it says :apple:Watch, but even then theres basically no logo on it.

How else are people supposed to know I have yet another Apple product! ;):D

On a complete side note, I've also realised how "non-aware" others, meaning non tech people are. I currently have the Pebble Smartwatch and love it, but I often talk about to others how excited I am to get the :apple:Watch when it comes out, and about 90% of the time people state, "Isn't that what you have on now?" or "I thought it already came out." I don't know whether thats a good thing or a bad thing...

Also, FYI, I am actually buying one and theres nothing you can do to stop me :D

Funnily enough I tend to get pretty much the same reactions to my Pebble watch. :)

Likewise. People think my pebble is the Apple watch or the Galaxy watch. It just shows how much influence Samsung and apple have.

I don't think Apple keyboards have featured the logo since ADB days. The logo on the current Mac Pro is 'hidden' on the port side, too.

You don't put logos on jewelry, at least in direct view.

I beg to differ. Most watches even the most expensive ones have there logo on the face of the watch. The Apple watch is obviously different as its a smart watch with a touch screen so a logo on the face would not be practical or even possible. They could have the logo on the bands though if they wanted. Personally it doesn't bother me one way or the other.

hmm... wait, what?

I'm wondering where you expect them to place and apple logo on the front face. The backside has one and its the only place that makes sense to place one. By the end of the year everyone will recognize an apple watch as much they can with an iPhone.

You'll see the logo when you start it up too.

I do find it interesting that Apple didn't include a logo on at least one of the watch faces, to match what mechanical watches do.

Maybe that'll be an update to the software. I'm not sure why they didn't except that while the iPhone and iPad have logos on the back, they know people put these in cases most of the time that obscure the logo, so I don't think it's something that Apple has ever obsessed over either way.

It's a touchscreen, at least included on startup.

I'm surprised Apple didn't emboss the logo on the crown.

Probably so it doesn't look too much like an iDevice so they can compete in the high end market.

Many watchmakers do that. I can't say I'm surprised Apple didn't. I remember Steve Jobs saying that he wants the Apple logo to be like Mickey at Disneyland, that there's only one at a time, to keep it special. This has been followed through with all Apple products (that I remember). Kind of weird that Rolex has it's logo on the face, crown, and back, now that I think about it.

The entire device is basically the logo. Like with most Apple gear, the design is so iconic that you'll recognize it anyway without needing the logo to tell you who made it.

I feel Apple should have put their iconic Apple Logo in the crown instead of the big black spot. Although it would not be directly visible to the person wearing it, it would be visible to others since the crown will mainly face other people.
