I know I used to be able to add hyperlinks to images in my posts here before (so the image itself becomes a hyperlink), but now it's not working anymore. When I select an image, all the formatting tools are grayed out (including the hyperlink button). Was there a change made in the forum software?

Do you have BB Code turned on? I keep mine off.

Correct, I'm using the Rich Text tools instead. That's what I'm saying - all those Rich Text tools are selectable until I click on my image, then they all gray out, so I'm unable to insert a hyperlink on the image.

Looks like you have to tap twice on the image for the link button to enable. I tested on xenforo too and that’s how it works there too

That doesn't work either:

Ah..

So we didn't change anything. It seems the solution is to drag and select a bit of text before and after -- even white space.

we did upgrade Xenforo last week. So might have been there reason.

Looks like a bug in Xenforo. Will report it.

I believe this is working as designed on Xenforo (I have also tested on other sites) as long as you attach and insert the "full" version of the attachment, it will invoke the menu bar at the bottom. Here's a screenshot from Xenforo when I tested.

However, on this site that menu will not invoke, at least for me using Chrome on a Mac, but it does work on others that I have tried.

That seems to work, though I know for a fact that I didn't have to do that before. But it's still a bit buggy. Notice that when I drag to highlight the image to insert the hyperlink, the image is clearly highlighted, yet when I try to drag to select it again (e.g. to edit or remove the hyperlink), it doesn't highlight even though it is in fact selected:

Yep. Unfortunately, even if you manage to click on the invisible buttons, the pop-up field is also invisible. Well, at least the click and drag workaround is there.
