I wish it was for 1000 days, never going to Tahoe on MP2019
Just updated to 15.7.4 no issues
Just updated to 15.7.4 no issues
Works ok hereIs Safari 26.3 safe to install?
Mine just shows a 15.7.4 preview build....... but I do have the 90-day deferral policy in place and maybe that still hasn't kicked in yet.
Restart cleared the available updates count. ThxHave you tried restarting your Mac?
15.7.4, deferral policy is still working here. It doesn't give me the option to upgrade to Tahoe.
It has been well over 90 days. Actually, almost twice that long. They could have "fixed" whatever was causing that long deferral to occur.
15.7.5 won't "officially" release until late March, at the earliest. Still a while left without the nags, if that really is what is going to make the difference.

That’s from Safari. Install Safari and it should disappear.Everything seems to be working as intended, except for this persistent reminder. Could this be specific to the Safari 26.3 update? Or is it because it's been over 90 days since the Tahoe release? I currently have Safari 18.6 installed.
We have to thank Apple’s generosity, or incompetence 🙂 , for not seeing Tahoe now.If I understand correctly, the effect of the Defer 90 profile is likely to last until the next point update release of Tahoe? Or is it until the advent of OS 27?
What happens then? Does one "re-apply" the configuration profile?
Safari 26.3.1 has just been released. Install pkg

Thank you so much for this @bogdanw !! What a blessed relief to not have to see these constant Tahoe reminders, and for the peace of mind as well.. ..and no red badge on the System Settings dock icon either!
I installed both the Defer 90 and Software Update configs a few weeks back, and rerstarted. Everything seems to be working as intended, except for this persistent reminder. Could this be specific to the Safari 26.3 update? Or is it because it's been over 90 days since the Tahoe release? I currently have Safari 18.6 installed.
Forgive me, I've read through this thread multiple times and I'm still fuzzy about the progression of things!

Thank you for that explanation. That clears up a lot for me, I appreciate it!If you have an update available for another component (like Safari) then it makes sense that you would be getting the pop-up. Install the update and it should go away.
The policy is supposed to apply for 90 days starting with the release of Tahoe. It doesn't matter "when" you applied the policy, and re-applying it will not have any impact. Something is off, since it is still "working" even though Tahoe was released closer to 180 days ago. However, this grace period may be about to run out. We've had reports that users on macOS 15.7.5 are seeing the Tahoe update notice even with the policy applied. The 15.7.5 update will most likely drop to the public either next week or the following week.
After this time, when the 90-day policy is no longer effective, you will always see the Tahoe update as available in System Settings. However, you can take other steps noted in this thread to avoid being "nagged" about it.
Aah. Now I understand the confusion, that the 90 day thing has been inconsistent on Apple's part. That’s from Safari. Install Safari and it should disappear.

The profile hides Tahoe for 90 days since a version of the OS was released. Even with the profile installed, we should now see Tahoe 26.2 in Software Updates.
Reinstalling the profile doesn’t do anything more that keeping it installed.
It looks like this is available now (iOS 18, macOS 15), so it should be possible to construct and install a policy well ahead of the release of macOS/iOS 27. If it does work for iOS too without MDM (plus iPadOS, tvOS, etc.), that's awesome. Some good news for September 2026, it appears that Apple will allow us to defer macOS 27.
...
At the moment, it doesn't say it requires supervision, so the same profile will work on iOS as well.
