Interesting philosophical question - how elaborate do we want Notes to get?

I use it for a shopping list, for frequent password and related info. access (e.g.: spouse and kid social security numbers, the code in case the alarm accidentally gets triggered), composing Facebook comments (since Facebook posts if I hit 'Enter' - whereas if I copy and paste from Notes I can have paragraph breaks), keeping links to content I like to reference in forum posts, etc.

I wonder how complex the usage is by most Notes users?

I'd never thought of linking to a note.

Copy and paste markdown is HUGE. Before you had to save the file off and import it to get e.g. shopping lists that you generated elsewhere. This is an awesome integration and some fun shortcut stuff will be possible.

One of the rare daily life non-tech LLM uses I actually like is iterating on a complex recipe or meal and dumping that into a formatted markdown with grocery sections etc. Now just having inline markdown and copy pasting should work which is great, you can get the checkboxes and everything - and if the headers are done right it auto-sorts what you grab while in the store when you mark it off the list. It's kind of an overlooked feature but is better for me than any standalone app for that purpose.
